Terms of Use and Subscription Terms

These terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA that applies to RefSupport. In the event of a conflict, mandatory statutory provisions and the applicable Apple terms prevail.

Last updated: 8 October 2026. This English version is a convenience translation; the German version prevails.

1. Provider and scope

The app is provided by Oliver Frankholz, Fedelhören 38, 28203 Bremen, Germany, email: ref_support@icloud.com. RefSupport is intended for iPad running iOS/iPadOS 17 or later and for supported Macs via Mac Catalyst running macOS 14 or later.

2. Scope of services

RefSupport supports the preparation, conduct and follow-up of handball matches. Depending on the platform and the available data source, this includes in particular match and time documentation, observation and delegate features, local and iCloud-based storage, document import, reports, analyses, travel expense claims, exports and optional Sportlounge video features. RefSupport does not replace official match systems, rules, decisions by federations or the user’s own professional review.

3. RefSupport Pro subscriptions

The app offers one auto-renewing yearly subscription (subscription period of one year) through Apple’s in-app purchase system.

The price and currency shown in the App Store or in the purchase dialog are authoritative. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.

4. Free trial

For eligible users, the subscription includes a free introductory period of 14 days. Whether you are eligible and which offer actually applies is shown by Apple before you complete the purchase. If the subscription is not cancelled in time, the trial converts into the paid yearly subscription.

5. Automatic renewal and cancellation

The subscription renews automatically for a further year unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription or trial period. Apple may charge your Apple Account with the renewal price within the last 24 hours before expiry.

You can manage and cancel the subscription in RefSupport under “My Data” → “Manage subscription” or in the subscription settings of your Apple Account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation, access generally remains available until the end of the period already paid for.

6. Restoring purchases

“Restore purchases” in “My Data” or on the subscription screen triggers a sync with the App Store. Use the Apple Account with which the subscription was purchased. Billing, refunds and other purchase conditions are governed by Apple; Family Sharing is not enabled for the subscriptions.

7. Purchase through Apple and right of withdrawal

Purchase, billing and payment of the subscription are handled exclusively through Apple’s App Store under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer, the withdrawal is handled through Apple; details and the withdrawal information are set out in Apple’s terms. You can request a withdrawal or refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. The app provider cannot cancel or refund App Store purchases itself.

8. Apple Standard EULA

In addition, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies. It governs in particular the scope of the licence, permitted use, maintenance and support, warranty, liability and Apple’s role.

9. User content and external services

You are responsible for ensuring that you are permitted to capture, store, synchronise and share matches, photos, names, documents, free text and other content. Check automatically imported data and data captured by text recognition before using it. Do not share your Sportlounge credentials with third parties.

iCloud, the App Store, Apple Maps, handball.net, Sportradar, the HBF data source and Sportlounge are third-party services. Their availability, content and terms are outside the app provider’s control. A RefSupport subscription does not grant any rights to paid Sportlounge or other third-party accounts.

10. Availability, changes and liability

The app is provided with reasonable care. Uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors or the permanent availability of external data sources cannot be guaranteed. Keep copies of important exports and independently verify time-critical displays and calculations. The statutory warranty and liability rules apply; mandatory consumer rights are not restricted by these terms.

11. Privacy and contact

Information on data processing can be found in the Privacy Policy. Questions about these terms can be sent to ref_support@icloud.com.

12. Consumer dispute resolution

The provider is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
